Better Together

Ronnie 2.jpg

Ronnie Woodall, drummer for The Rock & Roll Soul Band, comes to us from Virginia, moving to N.C. In 2019,  He started playing drums at 11 years old. He was introduced to the music scene by age 12 and learned everything he could from those around him playing with several seasoned veterans in the music scene in his hometown. He played in several notable bands in Virginia and found his roots within the rock genre. Ronnie comes from a wide range of rock music. Playing everything from alternative rock to 90’s metal. In the past several years he has played and resided within a few different praise and worship bands. He is versatile and loves a good challenge. He brings energy and life to whatever he plays. His heart's desire is to connect with everyone through music.

Carl Kindle has been with The Rock & Roll Soul Band from the very beginning. As lead singer & guitar, he has played in various successful classic rock bands over many years since he was a teen.  Learning to play guitar at 6 years old, he has been a fan of rock & blues throughout his music career.  His vocal range is impressive and fits with the style of songs that the Rock & Roll Soul band loves to play.  Also, by being very involved with classic rock and  contemporary worship bands, his experiences have provided him with priceless knowledge of sound, music, technique, and performance quality.  Carl and Debbie, our keyboardist, have had a long loving relationship of playing beautiful music together.

Debbie Kindle is the keyboardist and occasional backup singer and flautist for The Rock and Roll Soul Band.  Debbie started taking piano lessons when she was six years old and began studying voice at age thirteen.  She went on to earn both a bachelor and master degree in music education and is a retired music educator, having taught general music, choir, band, and music theory for all ages from pre-school to college.  She has also been involved as both a performer and director in musical theater and opera productions.  The Rock and Roll Soul Band is a new challenge to her as a musician and a chance to step out of her classical music background and try something completely different.

I started playing the guitar at age 15 and picked up the bass a couple years later. From there I gravitated more toward the bass.  I have played in a few bands over the years and now play in the Worship Band at my church as well as the Rock and Roll Soul Band.  My influences are Blues, Soul, and Classic Rock.  I pattern my playing after Mel Schacher of Grand Funk Railroad and Tiran Porter of the Doobie Brothers.
